🌿 Field Note: Root Days aka Not every day is for blooming

not every day is for blooming
some days are for holding steady
for letting the rain do what it knows how to do

the plants don’t argue with it
they soften
they settle deeper
they become

inside—
coffee, toast, small sweetness in dobs of cream cheese and raspberry jam

quiet luxury

a house moving gently around itself

the world clicks on the tv—
headlines, noise, urgency

oh well

clicks off —
never mind

not today, maybe not even tomorrow or the day after

today is for roots

There’s something really wise in —wanting the day to move slower. That’s not laziness, that’s attunement. You’re recognizing a moment that’s worth inhabiting fully.

You don’t have to rush this one forward. Let it stretch. Let it hold.

Let it slow.

Let it slow.

Let it slow.
