Singing in the Rain, Splashing in the Puddles, Being Cozy on Early Autumn Days

Cottagecore? Maybe to some. 🥜 But me, I’m just feeling autumn comfy. 🍂

It’s a season when fog and dampness settle in more often. The wind picks up. We have storms. And it is a time of year I embrace.

Recently, I was inspired to up my fall accessories game with these curated vintage finds—a midcentury American charm bracelet and a couple of pins. The bracelet has some missing pendants, but it doesn’t harm the look, and I’ll enjoy hunting for suitable replacements. A little tending is part of the charm.

I’m taking out my scarves and thick socks. I’ve sorted my hiking boots, rain boots, ankle boots, and my own cowboy boots. My new-to-me 1980s Jordache jacket is ready, too. It’s time for corduroy and suede, textures, patterns, and layers.

And raincoats. And umbrellas. Galoshes. Wellies. Swampers.

For me, this is snuggle season. And it’s such a lovely time of year: pumpkins, cool breezes, starry nights, and, of course, the crunch of leaves and acorns underfoot.

As the dogwoods and grapevine leaves start to turn rusty red, I’m happy to embrace the season—the pivot. I love my woodsy surroundings. I appreciate my woods-adjacent life. ♥

Looking forward to frost on the pumpkin season next!
