Comfort Rituals for Begin Again May

Begin Again Sparkling Water

This is for afternoons when you want something refreshing, a little pretty, and slightly more special than plain water.

Begin Again Sparkling Water

  • Sparkling water

  • Lemon slices

  • Mint leaves

  • Frozen blueberries or blackberries

  • Optional: cucumber slices or lavender

Fill a glass with ice.

Add lemon, mint, and berries.

Pour sparkling water over top.

If you want something softer and more floral, add a slice of cucumber or a tiny pinch of lavender.

It feels like something to drink while sitting in the garden, wiping pollen off the porch table, or watching the evening light settle in.

A reminder that comfort can be very simple.

Begin Again Tea

This is a soft tea for slow mornings, quiet evenings, journaling sessions, rainy afternoons, or the moments when you need to remind yourself that you can begin again.

Begin Again Tea

  • Fresh mint leaves or mint tea

  • Ginger tea or a few slices of fresh ginger

  • Honey

  • Lemon

  • Optional: a small pinch of lavender or chamomile

Steep the mint and ginger together in hot water for several minutes.

Add a spoonful of honey and a squeeze of lemon.

If you would like it softer, calmer, or more floral, add a little lavender or chamomile.

Drink slowly.

Open a window if the weather is warm enough.
Sit outside if you can.
Bring your journal.
Notice the birds.
Notice what is waking up around you.

You do not need to figure everything out today.

You only need to begin.

Begin Again Coffee

This is the kind of coffee for slow mornings, open windows, and the first light feeling like it may finally be returning.

Begin Again Coffee

  • Hot coffee or espresso

  • Milk of choice

  • A little honey or maple syrup

  • Cinnamon

  • Nutmeg

  • Optional: vanilla protein shake or vanilla creamer

Warm the milk with a little cinnamon, nutmeg, and honey or maple syrup.

Pour over coffee or espresso.

If you would like it creamier or more filling, blend with a little vanilla protein shake.

Drink slowly.

Sit on the porch.
Watch the birds.
Notice the light staying a little longer.
Let yourself believe that something good may be beginning.
